Last night the style set was in awe at the Jose Luis Salon on 6th Street. Celebrated celebrity hair stylist, Oribe, was in house and in full force. Attendees were able to experience first hand his legendary coiffing skills during a mock fashion shoot complete with models, set, and photographer. Inspired by classic Hollywood beauty icons Sophia Loren and Verna Lisi he encourages women to "not be afraid of felling beautiful."
Having just wrapped up Couture Week in Paris, Oribe is now off to Milan where he will be partnering with Giorgio Armani for his Fall/Winter 2010 fashion show. When I asked him what was going to be the next big beauty trend he said "grotesque beauty" a la Lady Gaga. Also, look for his work on the red carpet Oscar night on client's and friends Jennifer Lopez and Penelope Cruz.
