Saturday night there was an explosion of glamour, style, and fashion upon the grounds of the new luxury high rise, the Austonian, for the second annual Runway to Heaven charity fashion show. Benefitting the Austin Children’s Shelter and the Dell Children’s Medical Center, designers such as Versace, Poleci, Alexandra King, and Linda Asaf showcased exciting collections amidst the construction site setting. Linda Asaf, founder of Runway to Heaven, was presented with a proclamation from the mayor’s office for her charitable work. The crowd noshed on food and beverages that were provided by Sullivan’s, Piranha, and Savvy Vodka and the in house DJ keep the beats flowing from the show well into the after-party. The evening was a success with a few miss-steps only visible to a trained eye. But hey, when it’s for the kids who’s counting.
